Funny thing is that things have been working out pretty much the same for me as they have for you. I've cut my cable down to bare bones myself, but when you have the Archive, who needs cable? Been burning through the blank dvds myself, have a lot of stuff to clear out of my computer. Still spending a lot of time here in the Archive though.

The economy the way it is has caused us to really assess what is important to us, and to weed out all the unnecessary things. I told my husband that I had been preparing for the television apocolypse, and I guess it's here. There's so few shows on TV worth watching, so why pay for it? If it wasn't for needing cable so that we get internet at a reasonable price, I'd dump it altogether.

The good thing about this is that I have started reading for entertainment again. I'm going through Erle Stanley Gardner like crazy. I started one book this morning and I'm already half way through it.
